Cloud Service Models and Security Implications

Common Cloud Security Risks

Cloud environments face both traditional security risks and cloud-specific challenges.

Misconfigured Cloud Storage: Publicly accessible storage buckets represent one of the most common cloud security failures. Amazon S3 buckets, Azure Blob Storage, and Google Cloud Storage configured with overly permissive access controls have exposed sensitive data in numerous high-profile breaches.
